[ When the feed comes on, Tony is sitting at a chair. He obviously has the camera resting on a table in front of him. He looks lost in thought and is looking off to the top right of the camera in the middle distance, it looks like he's been thinking very hard. After a few moments he licks his lips slowly.]

So, it looks like that I'm not as prepared for everything as I think.

I've made mistakes here. But that's not really new, I've always been a bit of a mess so really that's a statement that shouldn't really surprise anyone, I've never really been perfect, my track record alone really shows that, and even all my character defaults...

[He runs his hand over his lower jaw. while he takes a breath, realising he was going off track.]

I haven't been taking this place seriously. And it nearly cost someone their life, because I wasn't fast enough. So what I'm trying to say here is that. Well, I have to try harder, this.

[He fidgets with his hands]

This isn't a holiday, or a resort, so tell me... What's the best way to take on the gym leaders around here?

[Tony's been trying to post this for days, there have been a few moments where he's started recording only to turn it off again. So he's feeling kind of proud he was able to be more him than his persona to the public for once.]

You've become quite a wikipedia while being here, haven't you, there.

[He doesn't have a clue what a Wikipedia is, but luckily the idea got across.]

People seem to make that mistake a lot. I'm a pretty smart guy, and a few years is plenty of time to pick up some things.

And really, I'd be worried if you didn't pick something up after three years.

I guess some people just expect me to be dumb or crazy. Or the kinda guy that solves his problems by punching them.

...not that I'm denying being the last two, but I'm not stupid.

Not always a bad way to be seen. That way you always get the jump on people when you prove them wrong. Kind of helpful, really.

I'm not the kinda guy that's usually looking for the element of surprise, myself. People just never take me for a smart guy, and they're usually confused if I prove them wrong. It's pretty funny, if you ask me.

Huh, so you've got one of those simple and happy outlook things going for you then?

Nothin' wrong with that. The real world can be a miserable place, and when you have the kinda life I did, you either shrug and roll with it or go fucking insane and become some kinda serial killer.

Just how it is. I don't think simple and happy's all that bad, myself.

[Tony just stares when he mentions serial killer as being an option. He runs his hands through his hair and decides not to worry about the statement so much.]

Well, you're not wrong there. Sometimes I even wonder what simple is like.

Sorry, you're askin' the wrong guy. Even after all this time here, I couldn't begin to understand what normal people think 'simple' is.

[Surprisingly, he didn't sound sarcastic. Lancer's tone was genuinely interested, considering he knew there was a hell of a range between 'normal human' and someone around his own level.]

Back in my world I was a billionaire genius, who used to make weapons, but now I'm in clean energy while being a part of a team of super heroes in my spare time.

That's an interesting one. Super heroes, huh? Sounds like a hell of a good time.

Well, keeping the world safe tends to work up a hunger after all. And there's something about picking somewhere near ground zero that makes for a nice afternoon.
