So, slowly I make my way through pretty much everyone I know, and I figured I might as well prod you too.

[Tony replies right away sounding wide awake, as he tinkers with various electronics with tools from his re-appropriated tool box]

Uh, well. Guess I should feel touched you want to prod me? So, there's nothing wrong?

Voice:

....Now I didn't say anything about that... but I really don't want to bug the same person over and over again is all.

Voice:

So, there is something wrong?

And if you're worried about bugging Steve, don't be. He's been traveling me since he showed up here. Believe me, you couldn't bug him.

Then I'll just have to poke at him next time I can't sleep.

You probably missed it, but I've been stuck in a pitch black cave for like, a week now with no light of my own and a rotating companion or two.

[Today is a boring day. He would've thought breeding a whale and a cat would be more exciting than it actually is, but. You know what? It's kind of fucking boring. So that's why he's going through his contacts and-

Okay, ignoring that last part. Just call me Tony, can't say too much is 'up' though. Except maybe a metal bird.

Anyway, nah. Just felt bored, so I decided to see how life's treating you.

Flattering offer, really. But not sure if I'll take you up on that right now.

Well, I've lost my Star Spangles, and our pet teenager. But other than that, pretty peachy for a guy who's been dragged into another world without his money or suit.

So I been wonderin', what's it like bein' stuck in a big, heavy metal suit all day long? Does it get all hot 'n there? How d'ya go to the bathroom?

Well, I'm never really stuck in it, there are redundancies in place so I can always get out of it. So there is that. But no, it doesn't get hot, it's fully air conditioned and I have a filtration system, so going to the bathroom isn't really an issue either.

[He sounds kind of rehearsed like he's had to answer these questions a lot.]

[There's a pause]

What do you mean, where am I? You're the one who took off without so much as a card.

[He's been so engrossed in his tinkering that he hasn't noticed a thing. He just missed his tools so much.]

You got a tool box? From home?

[Guess he's glad Tony got something positive from home, unlike himself]

Imogen and I both ended up in completely different places pretty far from you. Are you sure Thor is still even there?

No, from the corner store. Yeah from home. None of my power tools though. But hey, there's probably not going to be a universal plug store here.

Well it has been kind of quiet.

[He looks away from the device, his voice sounding a little distant because of it]

I swear here was here... When I last looked up.

voice;

I have to be in Kanto for a while. Blow anything up and that will be on you.

[And with that cryptic message done, he ends the message.]

Also, I don't just blow things up. So ignoring the fact you're being rude, I also don't have anything to work with that could periodically blow up. Which really is all on you.

[Calls back about 24 hours later because ugh he feels bad now.]

It's funny how stress always seems to end up with people saying unfriendly things about me.

I almost feel like this should upset me somehow.

He sounds serious, but down at the same time.]

[After some training with Pep, Tony listens to the message calls back.]

Okay, curt and polite. I don't have any money for bail right now, but we can probably visit.

[He's quiet for a beat]

So, what's so important that made you use the P word to summon me?

[Just going to ignore inane babble to reply, thanks.]

You once asked me [more like challenged, really] if I found attraction to other men 'disturbing'. Why would that be so?

[There's a long pause before Tony replies. Not so much because of the content, more that for a man who was just teaching a bunny rabbit the moves Happy taught him, it just seemed so very out of the blue.]

Uh, well... Because. Some guys don't like other guys being attracted to them when they're straight. Especially if their insecure about themselves, really kind of detracts from the whole, gender roles thing that's big in my world, outdated, but still weirdly popular.

Any reason you're coming to me about this, and someone you actually like, say, Carol or Steve? Or, there's also your sis- they wouldn't actually know what I'd mean, never mind. But the whole, you not appreciating me and my ways is kind of what's making this confusing to me here.
