Route 29: 001
Right, so after studying up on the pokedex, I’m going to need to know the best ways to routes 10 and 11 in Kanto as well as 37 Johto. I’m looking for some of these little guys in particular, and that’s where the Pokedex says they are.
Don’t think it’s going to be easy, because it never really is. But they’re going to come in more than a little handy while I have to re-establish myself. Not something really new, though the location has changed quite a bit.
But then again, some guy in a lab coat pointed out to me the more I use the bird, the more useful it'll be. And if making it strong while I get these other ones I'll need, well that's going to work in both our favours.
Also, these need names, right? Because if I have to call it what it's screeching, well, that's just going to really get on my nerves to be honest.

[Have a teenager peering at you there.]
What kind of bird is it? The biggest ones can actually fly with people once they evolve up to it, though if you're a breeder or not makes a difference on if that works. Trainers have to get badges first.
Video
Skaromnini or something, wasn't really paying attention in the first place. I just know it's loud and says at least the first part of it's name. And I'm not a breeder.
Video
Also, Skarmory. Someone from my world has one of those, overprotective bugger. You can name it whatever you want though, and if you keep at it it might eventually stick properly.
[He flashed him a grin. Oh this was fun, why hadn't he poked at the new people before this?] Questions~?

Yep. If you train them enough, your Pokemon, which I assume is a flying-type bird Pokemon, will get stronger and learn new moves. Generally a good thing, since they're your main form of protection here and for catching new Pokemon.
As for names, it's generally a "yes" thing. Easier to give them names and call out for them in the long run.
Well, naming huh.
[Looks back at the screen.]
What have you named yours?
[His naming scheme? Otaku things and technology, really.]
Just whichever seems fitting for my guys. [He glance off the screen for a moment.] ...and girls.

That's the convention like though? I've always been kind of big on my own conventions.

And naming the Pokebeasts is not strictly necessary. I suppose. Though it seems a bit disrespectful an inconvenient to merely call them by their species name.
[audio]
And yet, surprisingly helpful of you actually. have you named yours?
