 Right, so after studying up on the pokedex, I’m going to need to know the best ways to routes 10 and 11 in Kanto as well as 37 Johto. I’m looking for some of these little guys in particular, and that’s where the Pokedex says they are.

Don’t think it’s going to be easy, because it never really is. But they’re going to come in more than a little handy while I have to re-establish myself. Not something really new, though the location has changed quite a bit.

But then again, some guy in a lab coat pointed out to me the more I use the bird, the more useful it'll be. And if making it strong while I get these other ones I'll need, well that's going to work in both our favours.

Also, these need names, right? Because if I have to call it what it's screeching, well, that's just going to really get on my nerves to be honest.

You got one of the talkers huh? If it helps, some of them speak human after they get old enough, but I don't think the birds are in that category at all.

What kind of bird is it? The biggest ones can actually fly with people once they evolve up to it, though if you're a breeder or not makes a difference on if that works. Trainers have to get badges first.

Skaromnini or something, wasn't really paying attention in the first place. I just know it's loud and says at least the first part of it's name. And I'm not a breeder.

So even if you level it up to the skill you still won't be able to fly it anywhere til you get the badge. Unlucky. Basically your bets on travel are going on foot or making nice with someone who can fly you then, because the initial costs for train tickets and stuff are pretty steep.

Also, Skarmory. Someone from my world has one of those, overprotective bugger. You can name it whatever you want though, and if you keep at it it might eventually stick properly.

Well, looks like I'm going to have to start getting badges then, huh.

Well as long as it doesn't peck me I'm pretty sure we'll get along fine.

Badges are in gyms, and they're in towns. Other than a growing relationship and strength for the bird, And the apparent permission to fly on it eventually. What else do I get out of these gym battles?

Which ones are you looking for? And let's see! To route 37, just go straight from New Bark to Cherrygrove, then to Violet, then swing through Sudowoodo Crossing and you should be there.

And names are important, yep!

I really don't know. I'm a breeder so the travel perks are something I get without messing with it. I'm sure another trainer might be able to help on that front though. I know that different badges give different skills that can be useful though, definitely.

There's some fire and electric types that I'm interested into looking into.

It'll take time to travel between regions, so you need to pick one or the other, I think! But you might be able to find the other kinds at the breeding centre or something, to save time?

Eggs. No seriously, everything lays eggs. Even the things as big as a whale or as tiny as my hand. Eggs all the same size. And things that hatch are sometimes, um. Pretty big actually. You gotta check your species against anything because some combos are weird.

Spent a day or two reading up on what the Pokedex had to offer. I like to know what I'm getting into before, uh, making myself known.

They won't breed if you're watching, and the eggs are pretty much instant so... I don't even know how that bit works. OH! you gotta watch out though. Kids inherit skills. Kids get breed from one parent, skills from the other, and it can go either way, but usually breed goes to mom, so I recommend if you wanna breed stuff to power up your boys more.

Well, one of the species groups has it so you can breed a whale to something size of my fist so... yeah, good luck sorting that one out.
