Route 29: 001

 Right, so after studying up on the pokedex, I’m going to need to know the best ways to routes 10 and 11 in Kanto as well as 37 Johto. I’m looking for some of these little guys in particular, and that’s where the Pokedex says they are.

Don’t think it’s going to be easy, because it never really is. But they’re going to come in more than a little handy while I have to re-establish myself. Not something really new, though the location has changed quite a bit.

But then again, some guy in a lab coat pointed out to me the more I use the bird, the more useful it'll be. And if making it strong while I get these other ones I'll need, well that's going to work in both our favours.

Also, these need names, right? Because if I have to call it what it's screeching, well, that's just going to really get on my nerves to be honest.

Ah, I have not personally named all of them. Though they have all managed to acquire names, yes.

One I rather unfortunately inherited.

The other, ah, acquired its nickname from another Pokebeast. She seems happy enough with the name. Or at least refused to acknowledge any other when I attempted to name her myself.

Okay, this is killing me. What are they and what are their names that a serious sounding guy like you seems vaguely put out about it.

[There's a moment of slight fumbling as the video function clicks on. The camera takes a second to focus on an Eevee curled up sleepily in Equius' lap.]

This one is called Claws. She was left in my possession when my moirail left this world and returned home.

[The camera turns to a Wartortle, a Minun, and a Clefairy generally goofing off in the middle of a big hotel bed.]

The pink Pokebeast began following the shellbeast not long after I arrived here. ...She answers to Squirt.

[The Clefairy perks up at her name, hopping off the bed and coming over to wave at the camera. And getting way too close. Equius' hand reaches far enough into view to give her a pat of begrudging affection.]
