Personality:
Canon Background: Stark's canon is here.
Background (AU!Canon; HP):

Sayonara, America.
Howard Stark in England.
Before Tony was born, Mr. Stark had visited England for a magical conference which was to show case new developments in magic from cutting edge spells to the newest brooms in development. It was where he met Maria, a bright young witch working within Muggle Liaisons. He stayed in England for a few more years, in which he married Maria, but was ultimately called back to America to continue his work in the American ministries Research and Development department.

Born Anthony Stark
Born in Long Island, New York State. Tony quickly showed himself to be a bright young child, easily taking after his father. As he grew older, his parents decided to put him into the American muggle school system, so he could learn and socialise while they were both busy with their work.
It was in school he showed most promise in his science classes, and by the time his family left America he was the first 7 year old in who was set to graduate elementary school.
In this short amount of time, he developed a strong love of fast cars, rock music and robotics. However, he didn’t have much time to expand on this as his family soon came back to England to help aid in the fight against the looming threat of very dangerous dark wizards.
Tony’s father’s intelligence and skills had not gone unnoticed and he was soon stolen away by disreputable wizards to get him to develop more devastating spells. His refusal cost his life. Tony’s mother lost her life months after, trying to keep a small muggle village safe from death eater destruction.

Alone in England
Tony was left in the care of the family butler, Edgar Jarvis. Where he was raised in a distant but caring relationship with the older man in the boys inherited and large Southampton estate.
Even though he wasn’t as close as he could be with his once busy parents, he had taken their deaths hard (Like any child would). Which lead him to start working more on his magical talents to develop them. Despite getting many letters from the ministry telling him he was not only too young but not even an enrolled student which meant his practicing was as yet, illegal. It failed to stop him, it would only cause him to work on more muggle based electronic gizmo’s to help make Jarvis’ and his own life easier around the house until a few months passed where he would start again playing with magic. Using his parent’s sacrifices as a reason to work even harder to try and develop magic that would protect more lives. As this was his parents final resting place, he had no intention of leaving the country, as he wanted to make a name for himself in the country they fought so hard to protect.

Acceptance to Hogwarts
After receiving his acceptance letter, the Stark heir, wasted no time in buying not only his school books for the year, but books he would need for second year too. He had found muggle schools far too easy, and had wanted to make sure he had the best advantage over his fellow students.
He bought a Great Horned owl and named it “Happy”, and his wand is 12 ½ inch, inflexible spruce with a dragon heartstring core. When not finishing his homework (Which never seems to take long) Tony can be found scribbling in note books trying to work out new spells or some electronic device, antagonising his friends or in the common room or great hall chatting up girls. He may be only 14 but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what he wants.

As an interesting note, Tony cannot stand people handing him things, and makes a habit of staying around his friends so they can take it so he doesn’t have to. Livejournal.

How would your character fit in to each House?

Gryffindor:
Tony doesn’t at all run short on bravery, daring and doing the right thing. His bias towards things and lack of patience has him quick to antagonise those who endeavour to always do the right thing. He also has a habit of pushing people’s buttons in order to find out how far they can be pushed before he even tries to get to know them.

Hufflepuff:
Never afraid of hard work, Tony always endeavours to get the job done not only fast, but get it done right. And while he has some weird ways of showing it at times, he is also very loyal to his friends. What undoes Tony is his highly competitive nature and he is rarely impartial to events going on around him.

Ravenclaw:
Never one to be humble, Tony’s genius is well known and has never had any problems getting the best results from all his magical studies. He has a very sharp wit, and shows some remarkable creativity when it comes to ad libbing spells and charms for a quicker or more superior result. With lower over blown results each year.

Slytherin:
Tony’s level of arrogance, would make him right at home with other Slytherins, and he does show a certain need to do whatever he can to get the job done, he is also very cunning about it, as he has a habit of never telling anyone what’s going on until the last moment (Partly due to his ‘lone wolf’ nature, and partly for his flair for the dramatic). He does however live by his own set of morals and would be less likely to use other people cruelly in order to get his way.

RP Samples:

[Journal]

Okay, so. What’s the rule here on how many cauldrons you can use at a time? Because really. I’ve got something in the works here, and it’s going to be pretty big, only no one in my room is stupid enough to lend me theirs anymore. But hey, if they don’t want to be a part of the bigger picture of fame and glory, who am I to stop them from being humbugs? Anyway, not the point. Cauldrons. Need at least four so I can get this all brewing from the start, because If I can get this working, it will just be yet another triumph in the name of stark. What the hell, it’ll even put Hogwarts more on the map, and who doesn’t want that?

Third Person Sample:

Tony walked down the halls, with the swagger normally associated with full bloods and money. The swagger had a slight exaggeration to it as he headed to the great hall for breakfast. A Hogsmeade weekend was coming up, and there were more than enough girls in his year, attractive girls at that, so he was more than a little confident that he would be able to encourage at least two of them to join him for a butter beer in a quiet corner of the three broomsticks.

Striding into the hall itself, he chose to be subtle about his intentions for Hogsmeade.

“Hogsmeade is coming up, and I plan on treating some of you fine girls to more than a few butter beers and even a trip to Honeydukes. Of course, if you can’t decide on who wants to join me on a fabulous day. I might just have to try and turn this into a party somehow. What do we think of that?”

He gave a roguish smile to the teachers table, fully aware at how many of them were giving him disapproving looks, as the hall’s standard chatter had become more excitable with an undertone of male annoyance. Tony might have only been in America until he was 8, but there was no doubt the place had rubbed off on him. He went over to his house table and sat down, not having to wait long before a few of the more enterprising girls came to talk to him.

And people thought he couldn’t be subtle.
